There are
still committed people in the country trying hard to change the daily conduct
and mentality of how animals should live in Greece. It is about time to realize
that our "pets" are sentient beings and to improve their living
conditions. This is one more PUBLIC AWARENESS TV Spot focusing on this effort
and produced pro bono for SAWA: "Pets are not refundable items! They need
daily interacting and caretaking. If you are considering getting a dog take
into account that it needs to be walked at least two times a day no matter what
the weather! It is illegal and inhumane to keep your pet on a balcony or a
terrace, in a cage or on a chain! You have to take into account the costs for
taking your dog to a vet and buying good quality dog food, your dog cannot live
on bones and leftovers! Can you cope with all the above? If you are often away
from home? When you leave to go study or on holidays? Before you make the big
step get informed! Speak with your vet and your local shelter. If you are
absolutely sure you can proceed to this commitment then adopt a stray and save
